We partnered with a fast-growing D2C apparel brand to build a custom headless mobile application powered by Shopify’s Storefront API and React Native. The app delivered native-like speed, personalized shopping with AI-driven recommendations, wallet-based payments, and push notifications—features that their millennial and Gen-Z customers valued most. With multi-currency and multi-language support, the brand expanded into five new markets, achieved a 42% increase in mobile conversions, and reduced checkout times by 30%, setting the stage for global growth.

The client is a mid-sized D2C lifestyle brand known for its apparel and accessories. With a rapidly growing digital presence, the brand aimed to move beyond its existing web storefront and create a seamless mobile shopping experience. Their goal was to deepen customer engagement, particularly with millennial and Gen-Z shoppers who expect convenience, personalization, and speed when shopping online.
While the client’s Shopify Plus store was performing strongly on the web, mobile conversions were falling short of expectations. Their millennial and Gen-Z audience increasingly expected personalized, app-native experiences, such as push notifications, wishlists, real-time inventory updates, and wallet-based payments, that the standard Shopify mobile web view could not provide.
To bridge this gap, the brand required a mobile application that seamlessly integrated with the existing Shopify backend, delivered native-like speed and design flexibility, and supported global expansion through multi-currency and multi-language capabilities.
